The current headline in every Bangladeshi & Australian newspaper is about the culinary sensation “Kishwar Chowdhury”. Kishwar Chowdhury, a Bangladeshi expatriate who was born and brought up in Australia has shown her sparkle in MasterChef Australia. Despite being in a foreign country, she introduced the food culture of her roots to the whole world. She has implied her bravery by showcasing authentic Bangladeshi cuisine on an international platform. Kishwar was one of the most confident candidates in the show. Her tireless passion for cooking and extraordinary skills made the judges speechless every time. Introducing authentic Bangladeshi food as -Begun Bhaji (Fried Eggplant), Bhorta (Mashed Items), Machh Bhaji (Fried Fish), Khashir Rezala (Mutton Curry), on a big platform, proves her deep love for her own country.

She shared some of her experiences about her journey in an interview. She shared how the Khashir Rezala was a tough one for the time frame. She was asked if cooking was her passion from childhood. She simply denied it and said that she never considered cooking as her passion. It was an inherent part of her life. She was delighted while speaking of the support of the people from her roots. Lastly, she also gave a message for Bangladeshi people through the interview, “Whether it’s at home, cooking for your loved ones, or pursuing your dream in food arts or anything that brings you joy, put yourself out there and pursue your passion.” Whenever she got the chance to mention her dream, she delightedly mentioned her dream of writing a cookbook.

Throughout her whole journey, she has inspired millions of women by exhibiting her enthusiasm for cooking deshi food. Meanwhile, her inspiration and biggest strength was her family.

In the finale, she showed her heroism by cooking Mach Bhaji (Fried Fish), Panta Bhaat (Socked Rice into Water) and Alu Bhorta (Mashed Potato). Kishwar really deserves appreciation for her talent to make such recipe with the exact given ingredients. After the finale, Kishwar thanked all the people for supporting her. She may not have won the MasterChef Australia but she has won everyone’s heart, especially Bengali people. Everyone’s love from the beginning for Kishwar was noticeable. They also supported her in every possible way and appreciated her hard work.

She has introduced our Bengali cuisine to the global audience in a unique way. She is the pride of Bangladesh. We will all be waiting eagerly for her cookbook and we look forward to seeing her dreams come to reality.
