Laddu or Laddoo is an attractive sphere-shaped sweet. there is no doubt that laddu originated in India. As per a well-liked origin story, laddu’s origin was surprisingly for medicinal purposes. one of the widely believed theories is that Sushruta, an ancient Indian ayurvedic sage, physician and surgeon first used a spherical ball of sesame seeds as an antiseptic to treat his patient. This was wiped out in order to make the drug manage and also made it easier for the patients to consume.

Various sorts of laddu were used as drugs, which were made with jaggery, and peanuts accompany their unique benefits. it’s said that in the past laddus were fed to adults and girls to balance their hormones, which were mostly made from fenugreek seeds. Laddu was also packed for travellers and soldiers as an emblem of excellent luck for expeditions. And with the arrival of the British, the laddus were further sweetened with the addition of sugar. this is how the laddu gradually began taking shape as sweet which we’ve come to understand and are fond of it today.
