Mushroom is the generative structure created by some fungi. Mushroom is primarily known for their great taste & health benefits. Mushrooms provide a lot of essential vitamins and minerals, and also, they are fat & cholesterol-free. Fresh mushrooms are a healthy addition to your food diet. Many people still don’t know that mushroom is a kind of fungus.

Mushrooms are low-calorie food but a leading source of the antioxidant nutrient selenium in the producing cell, protecting our body from damage. Its antioxidant also lowers the risk of metabolic disorders and hypertension. They are a good source of vitamin D which is beneficial for bone. People with high blood pressure should add mushrooms to their daily food chart because they have a nutrient called potassium, known for reducing the tension in blood vessels. Reducing the anxiety in blood vessels helps to lessen blood pressure.

Mushroom also plays a vital role in improving our immune system because of their anti-inflammatory effect. It can be helpful with weight management as they boost daily energy by limiting fat intake.

Mushrooms are super healthy

Some of the mushrooms that grow naturally can be toxic, but edible mushroom is cultivated scientifically and technology-based. It almost takes two months to grow edible mushrooms, and one needs to be careful about purification in every stage of the cultivation process. The cultivation process should be carried out in a space where light can be controlled.

To grow mushrooms, spores are needed, not the seed. These are too tiny to see with the naked eye. Unlike sources, these spores rely on different substances such as straw, grain, wood chips, and sawdust for nourishment. It depends on the type of mushroom. The spores and these nutrient sources are altogether called spawns. This mushroom spawn acts as land instead of soil. This helps to grow a white and threadlike body named mycelium. After that following steps need to be taken.

Due to its huge demand and popularity, the farming of mushrooms is gradually increasing in our country. But still, the supply of mushrooms is less than its demand.  World-class mushroom is being produced by the farmers of our country, which needs to be marketed properly so that this farming sector can play a unique role in the global market. With time cultivation techniques have improved, and varieties of mushrooms have been invented as well. We should encourage local growers to produce different types of mushrooms so that we can make a difference in our economy by exporting a good quantity.
