World Vegan Day was created as a way for vegans from across the world to celebrate their lifestyle, meet other like-minded people and share their experiences.
For many people, World Vegan Day is a day to commemorate and celebrate their commitment to living the vegan lifestyle. Around the globe there are exhibitions that present information on how you can go about starting your own journey with this lifestyle; seminars where experts answer questions from attendees regarding any concerns they may have- such as protein intake or vitamin D deficiency and public debates between plant-based supporters of differing views but all united under one banner: nonhuman liberation!
World Vegan Day can be a great opportunity for anyone looking into adopting this lifestyle while also learning more through lectures given by influencers in the Vegan community. It’s also a perfect chance for individuals to advocate the lifestyle, share ideas and sensitize their friends on its importance as well as how they feel.
The event takes place every November 1st, which has been chosen as it is an international day of action for animal rights!
The commemoration of this event began in 1994 by a UK celebrity, Louise Wallis, who was at the time the chair of The Vegan Society, as they celebrated its 50th birthday, the coinage of the terms vegan and veganism, as well as the inception of The Vegan Society
