Do we know what exactly a headache is? Are you thinking or feeling like, a headache is a pain in your brain? Which is not actual­ly. Headache is a way your brain tells you when any part of your body hurts but cannot feel pain itself. Headache is a pain in a person’s head, neck and face and happens in blood vessels, nerves and muscles.

Most people suffer from headaches many times, some­ times it stays for a few minutes to several hours. Headache can be throbbing, constant, sharp or dull. Headache symptoms vary, and it depends on the type of headache because there are 150 types of headaches that people are suffering from.

Eating healthy food can calm your mind

The most common for all people is a tension headache, these are related to stress, depression and anxiety.

Suffering from a headache and knowing the cure for it is very im­ important! Let your foods be a medicament for headache and hopefully helps you before you head to the medicine cabinet again!

Nuts help to reduce headaches
  1. Dehydration is a very big reason for headaches, so not being hy­drated cause headaches in most people. Dehydration causes a drop in blood volume, and reduce the amount of oxygen in the brain which occurs headache. Water is very important to drink but eating fruits like watermelon, cucumber, celery and carrots; which have a high-water content can help you to stay hydrated all day. If dehydration is the cause of your headache, it will be gone magically.
  2. Ginger is a spice, assuming this spicy root has the capability to block prostaglan­ dins (which plays role in inflammation in the body), this causes a slight swelling of your brain that may be the source of your head­ ache. It also relieves nausea. You can take Ginger spice, Ginger powder, Ginger tea, and Ginger supplement.
  3. Mackerel is high in omega-3 fatty acids. It has anti-inflammatory and nerve-protecting actions which may help to reduce the frequency, duration and severity of headaches and migraines. Alternative for mackerel is salmon or sardines, Cod, and Hali­but.
  4. Plain Yogurt contains a high amount of riboflavin, a part of the Vitamin B-complex.Vita­ min B helps to reduce the number of mi­graine. An alternative to yoghurt is Egg.
  5. Spinach is a green leaf which is high in magnesium. Magnesium, as a nutrient always been found to relieve powerful migraine properties. More like spinach is Kale, Brocco­ li, Turnip greens etc.
  6. Nuts are a rich source of magnesium. So nuts help to reduce headaches. Like almonds, Walnuts, Cashew nuts, and Brazil nuts.
  7. Chocolate, dark chocolate contains a high amount of magnesium and riboflavin, both of which helps to reduce headache.
  8. Caffeinated drinks like tea, coffee and some soft drinks are potential triggers of headaches.
  9. Water is very good for headaches! More water, more relaxation.
