As I am a foodie I never miss a chance to taste a new item. So very recently my father offered me and my mother to take our evening snacks outside in a restaurant. He also invited one of our family friends to join us. In a sense, it can be called a treat from my father.
On 1st December we gathered at Mohammadpur and discussed what kind of food we can try. Two days from that day, I and my mother discovered a traditional food item ‘CHITA RUTI with DUCK CURRY’ and the food was roaring in my mind. I gave my opinion to taste Chita ruti with duck curry and everybody cheered with me. Then we decided to taste it.
All of a sudden we choose the restaurant ‘Flavor-e-Fire’ which is a small place to dine in. But decoration was quite good to hang out with family and friends. We ordered 7 plates of Chita ruti and duck curry. One plate contains four Chita ruti and three pieces of duck meat. Then we started gossiping, conversing, and taking pictures of our moments.
After 20-25 minutes they served our food. I was very happy to see their way of serving. As that is our traditional food, they tried to serve it traditionally. They used earthenware for the food which was amazing for me. After taking pictures of our food I started to eat because my mouth started becoming watery seeing the item. After all, it looked yummy. As I never tried this food item before, I was very excited to taste it. Then I tore a corner of the Chita ruti, immersed it into the broth of the duck curry and devour it into my mouth. Believe me, now I can feel the taste. The Chita ruti was wonderful in taste with the broth of duck curry. It becomes melted after going to my mouth. I took more bites suddenly as it was very satisfying for me. The duck curry was not my first try but I must say it was one of the best duck curries I have tasted. The funniest thing was that everyone becomes watery noses because of the spice of the duck curry but after all, we could not stop our eating for its delicious taste. I was full after eating my third Chita ruti but I forcefully eat the last one and I was delighted. The good thing was they serve extra gravy as we needed. Believe me; the taste was beyond my imagination. I was excessively satisfied with the taste of the traditional item.
As it was my first try but must say it was one of the best items I tried. This food is perfect for the winter season as it is spicy. All of us enjoyed it very much and satisfy with this food. I want to eat this delicious item again and again. I will definitely recommend it to my friends who love duck and any item made of flour.
