Lentil is one of the most essential elements of our kitchen. Making our favorite ‘Daaler Bora’ won’t be possible without lentils. It is known as favorite snack or side dish of almost every Bengali person. A piece of crispy Daaler Bora can be a part of their meal as well. This simple snack becomes tastier with chatni (ketchup). To feel the real taste, dip your Bora in chatni and then enjoy.

Ingredients

1 or 2 cup red lentils (soaked for a few hours)

Ginger – 1 small knob 3 or 4 green chilis

1 tsp turmeric

1 tsp salt½ cup chopped cilantro

1 chopped onion

Instruction

Soak the lentils for a whole night, remove the water and then paste it. Keep the paste somewhat coarse.Take a bowl and take the paste- onion chili, ginger, turmeric powder and salt. Mix them properly.Heat the pan and then drop a spoonful of butter on it. Drop the mixture with the help of a spoon to the pan. Fry on medium heat until the bora turns golden brown in color. It will take 3 or 4 minutes.When the cooking is done, serve it hot.Enjoy your Daaler Bora with chatni or ketchup. Make your evening snack time perfect with these Daaler Bora.
